Christmas Giving Program

Need and generosity are beautifully matched through this program which provides gifts to families that are financially unable to provide Christmas presents for their children. Many low-income elderly people also benefit from the program. People in need of this program are identified through the case workers and other staff at Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Inc. who have worked with these families and individuals throughout the past year. Upon referral from Catholic Charities staff members, names of children and seniors with their Christmas wishes are placed on a Giving Tree for adoption by parishes, community organizations, businesses and individuals. Families in severe need also receive food baskets and household and personal care items. Each year more than 1,200 people benefit from this program.
