Catholic Charities of Tennessee recently concluded its Pathways to Possibilities Phantom Luncheon spring fundraising initiative, reporting donations of $56,000.
"The funds generated by the Pathways to Possibilities campaign are vitally important to our ability to meet our neighbors' needs," said Bill Sinclair, executive director.
"We truly appreciate the generosity - and confidence - our supporters have shown by investing their resources with us for the benefit of those we serve."
"The majority of the funds raised are unrestricted dollars," explained Mark Barry, director of Mission Advancement.
"This means that they go wherever the greatest need is with our various programs across the agency."
"Generating financial resources is a Pathways to Possibilities objective," Barry explained.
"It is not the only objective, though. Community connection and education are also very much a part of the Pathways to Possibilities campaign."
This year's campaign was supported by the agency's spring newsletter, a series of newly created videos vignettes (featuring clients, volunteers and staff), Facebook posts, website updates, its recently launched e-newsletter, and Tennessee Register coverage.
Barry indicated that Pathways to Possibilities will likely return as an actual luncheon event, rather than a "phantom" luncheon, next spring.
