The Board of Trustees for Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Inc. has elected officers and new members for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, according to Bill Sinclair, executive director of the agency. The terms begin on July 1.
Executive Committee members for 2015-2016 are: President Fran Bedard, Director, Deloitte Tax, LLP, Primm Springs; Vice President Frederick Strobel, President, Burgundy Group, Nashville; Secretary Portia Wells, Senior Vice President and Trust Advisor, U.S. Trust/Bank of America, Nashville; Treasurer Dwayne Dillard, Partner, Crowe Horwath, LLP, Franklin; and Program Oversight Committee Chair Kim Molnar, Vice President of Program Services, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, Nashville.
Joining the Board are: Clark Baker, YMCA of Middle Tennessee Development Consultant, Nashville; Matt Curley, Partner, Bass Berry & Sims, Nashville; Mike Nunan, Managing Director, Nunan & Associates, Nashville; and Michael Veinbergs, Executive Director/Credit Risk Director, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Nashville. Returning to the Board after a one year absence is Shandy Husmann, Managing Director, Huron Consulting Group, Brentwood.
"Board members provide us with a tremendous diversity of experience and interests, while helping us connect with community resources and the people we serve," said Sinclair.
"The board is such an integral part in our program planning, promotional efforts, and development initiatives. We are honored to have so many talented and knowledgeable people volunteering their services on our Board."
Continuing their service on the Catholic Charities Board are: Allen Arender, Holladay Properties; Steve Bachus, Vanderbilt University; Anne Blaufuss, Ardent Health Services; Steve Brophy, Dollar General, Stefan Caulfield, Healthways; Kevin Doherty, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough; Father Eric Fowlkes, Our Lady of the Lake Church; Sister Mary Cecilia Goodrum, O.P., Aquinas College; Christopher Kelly, Raymond James; Greg Mays, Parallon Business Solutions (HCA); Diane Mulloy, community volunteer; John Rodgers, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP; and Liz Schatzlein, community volunteer.
Also serving on the board as Young Leaders Council interns are Katherine Duck, Gallagher Benefit Services, Brentwood, and Josh Oates, Emdeon, Franklin.
"While the start of a new Board term is always exciting, it also marks the end of Board service for several strong advocates for Catholic Charities," Sinclair continued.
Concluding service on June 30th were: Tina Alloco, Vanderbilt Sinus and Asthma, Nancy Anness, Saint Thomas Health, Michael Corbett, Dept. of Commerce & Insurance, State of Tennessee, Paul Ney, Patterson Intellectual Property Law, Eleanor Parkes, community volunteer, and Connie Summers, community volunteer.
