This September, Sewing Training Academy, a workforce development program of Catholic Charities of Tennessee, will host the first SewPOP, an event created to both showcase student talent and provide funding for the academy. Find us behind Imogene + Willie (2601 12th Avenue South, Nashville).
SewPOP will feature 25 showcases, 12 for new student vendors and 13 for existing businesses selling their uniquely Nashville wares. Each will offer highly curated and original items made by STA students, including camisoles, hats, robes, leather items, coats and many other items. 30% of all sales will benefit the STA's future training programs.
The Opening Night Preview Party will take place on Friday evening September 6th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door of Imogene + Willie's or available below. ~There will be a short program at 7:30 p.m. featuring a video to showcase the work of the STA and introduce the Production Intensive Course that the STA will launch in January 2020. In addition to amazing creations by our students -- past and present -- the night will also include food trucks, drinks, and great networking for the fashion and sewing communities.
SewPOP's public event will take place on September 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free for children and a $5 donation is suggested for adults.
